Unicorn Variation

I did a drawing of a horse that I called White Dream. Sometime later, a friend of mine asked me if I could draw a unicorn for a special memorial page she was doing for a friend who had died. I adapted White Dream for that purpose, and it worked pretty well. This is another of my favorites.

Fey

I grew up in the deep south, where there were always lightning bugs in the spring and summer. When I was a child I imagined that they were all fairies. I would stand, transfixed by the beauty of the lights, the song of the Whipoorwill, and my own imaginings until I was called to come inside.

Away

This image grew out of playing with light and clouds and color and trying to imagine how another world might look.
